 Abstract:  Materials in the Stuart Malcolm Young collection document Young's activities as a photographer on the 1909 Utah Archaeological Expedition to Rainbow Bridge on the Navajo Nation led by Byron Cummings of the University of Utah, as well as subseqeunt expeditions with Cummings on Navajo and Hopi land in Utah and Arizona in 1912. While the bulk of the collection pertains to Young's participation on archaeological expeditions in Arizona and Utah, some materials document Young's later life in California.
